Keeping images of repair items as they are booked in not only helps in identifying repairs quickly, but also prevents misunderstandings and issues further along the repair cycle.
Bransom’s repairs management software, JRM, now has more ways to add and allocate images so that they can be added from more sources.
Newly added is the capability to access and import photographs not only from the computer in use or a network folder, but from a USB memory stick, camera memory card or smartphone over a usb connection.
The latest version is available as a free upgrade to all registered JRM users.
Retailers who have closed their doors do now have an opportunity to prepare for re-opening or online commerce as they will probably have more time than usual to analyse historical sales data and their stock position.
It’s completely possible that as people are currently spending less or even nothing on luxury or non-essential items while staying at home, they will be looking for something to buy when they have the opportunity if they still have disposable income. While we don’t know when that might be, make sure you’re in a good position for when that window opens again.
Here are a few pointers to really identify where you can make your business more resilient for that time.

Software powerhouse shows range of business management solutions at IJL
Largest software supplier to the UK jewellery trade to exhibit unmatched product offerings
Clarity & Success will exhibit at IJL alongside its new acquisition Bransom Retail Systems, to show the breadth of business management solutions it now offers. The two brands now service over a thousand jewellery retail clients between them with support offices in both the north and south of England and is by far the largest supplier of stock management systems to the UK jewellery trade.
Whether a jeweller is looking for single shop inventory management, repairs management, wholesale, pawnbroking, cash-generating or multi-shop solutions, there is a system available to fit his needs. Systems are scalable and can grow in line with the business to include customer marketing, accounts, ecommerce integration and mobile point of sale functions.
Clarity’s recent Apps for PoS, stocktaking, repairs and live sales tracking mean more freedom in store for closer customer engagement, while Bransom’s bsmart system offers multiple modules including industry-standard Pawnbroking management as well as retail and wholesale solutions.
“Our systems are under constant development to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients and new regulations, and we’re perfectly placed both geographically and in product portfolios to service our extensive customer base.” reports Karen Russell, Managing Director of Clarity & Success UK. ”We’re really looking forward to meeting all our customers, old and new, at the show”.

Bransom Retail Systems’ MTD Software has been officially recognised by HMRC. The platform is one of the few retail-specific systems and probably the only jewellery-specific software to be compliant for submitting VAT returns through the Making Tax Digital system.
While Bransom developed the platform for its bsmart Accounts users, the platform can be used by any retailer to upload a suitable VAT file to the HMRC portal.

Bransom clients can access help documents, tutorial videos and other resources at any time via the secure clients-only web portal. User guides, FAQs, video guides and more.
