Check these simple things to see if they answer your query

My Cash drawer won't open

• Is your printer on?
• Check the cable in the back of the printer, there should be 3. That flat cable with the clear end is the cash drawer and should be plugged in to the DK socket.
• Check the lock has not been bent - this can happen if the drawer was forced shut in the locked position.

My till receipt printer will not work

• Are the power and ready lights on?
• Check the cables in the back - there should be 3, one goes to the cash drawer. One is the power so check this is plugged in and the power light is on, this in turn plugs into a black box (power supply). This should have another cable plugged into it which plugs into a wall socket. Alternatively, it may take its power from the processor using a similar cable.
• The third cable is a thick serial cable which has 2 screws to hold it into the back of the printer. This needs to be plugged in and the screws tightened up.
• Once you have all three in reboot the till.
NOTE: Ensure any slave tills are not running the TOUCH software when rebooting a master till.
NOTE if your till has Cardspot on you will have a fourth cable which will also need to be plugged in.

My Chip and Pin (credit card machine) isn't working

• Check that it says ready on the PDQ screen.
• Check that it's properly logged in to the system (i.e check that the Ocius/Sentinel application is logged in).

I have a blue screen on the till?

• If the communication screen is still on in the morning with 'waiting for connection', you can close this with ALT+Q or by closing it with the cross in the top right of the screen. Then call Head Office and let them know your sales haven't been collected from last night.

My Stock Transfer button will not work

• Restart the till software.
NOTE: Ensure any slave tills are not running the TOUCH software when rebooting a master till.

My till says it's in Demo Mode

• Close down the till software - DO NOT USE IT IN THIS STATE
• Check that the license dongle (looks like a black or green memory stick) is in the till in a USB port. If you can see it, remove and plug back in to a different USB port and ensure a small green or red led light comes on. Restart the till software.
NOTE: Ensure any slave tills are not running the TOUCH software when rebooting a master till.
• If the till is still in demo mode call Bransom support.

My touchscreen won't work

• Check the USB cable from the screen is plugged in to the back of the till unit
• Reboot the till.
